Dates
- Event Date: October 25-26, 2024
- Submission Deadline: All projects must be submitted by 3:00 PM on Saturday, October 26, 2024.
Eligibility
- Participants: HackHERS is open to all students, with a particular focus on women and beginners in tech.
- Team Size: Teams can consist of 3 to 5 members.
- Experience Level: All experience levels are welcome, from complete beginners to seasoned hackers.
Project and Submission Requirements
Project Guidelines:
- Projects should aim to improve the lives of women in a creative and impactful way.
- Participants are encouraged to think outside the box and utilize any technology stack they prefer.
What to Submit on Devpost:
- Project Description: Overview of your project and its impact.
- Demo/Presentation: Participants will do a live demo
- Source Code: Link to your code repository (e.g., GitHub).
- Team Information: Names and roles of all team members.
- Impact Statement: Explanation of how your project will create positive change.

Judging Criteria and Winner Selection
Projects will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Impact: How well does the project address a challenge faced by women?
- Creativity: Is the solution innovative and unique?
- Technical Implementation: Quality of the code and technical execution.
- Presentation: Clarity and effectiveness of the project demo and presentation.
- Hardware- Category: Integration: How well do the hardware and software components work together?
- Software- Catgory: User Experience: How intuitive and user friendly is the website?
Winner Selection:
- Judges will review all submissions and presentations.
- Participants need to present their projects live.
- Winners will be announced during the awards ceremony on Saturday evening.
